At the auspicious Lagos Eid gathering, President Bola Tinubu articulated an uplifting message to Nigerians, urging them to maintain faith in a harmonious, stable, and prosperous future for the nation.
Addressing journalists on Wednesday at Dodan Barracks prayer ground in Obalende, Ikoyi-Lagos, President Tinubu stressed the paramountcy of unity and cooperation among citizens. Through a statement released by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication and Strategy, Mr Dele Alake, he ardently appealed to his fellow Nigerians to abstain from ethnic and religious divisions.
He conveyed his belief that divine intervention would aid the nation, asserting, “Allah will not overburden our nation with trials beyond our capability.” President Tinubu further expressed his gratitude for the well-being of the country and prayed for the continued good health and prosperity of its citizens. He emphasised the necessity of collective efforts in nation-building, urging citizens to set aside religious and tribal differences, and unite for the common goal of national progress.
In a heartfelt appeal, President Tinubu also offered prayers for Nigerian troops engaged in combatting insurgency, expressing both his and the nation’s earnest desire for their triumph.
